Amanda Brooklyn

Amanda Brooklyn (Jenni) is a New York actor and LTR company member currently in her final semester as a theatre major at Fordham University. Born and raised in Vermont she has performed at various regional theatres throughout New England. Favorite roles include Izzy in Rabbit Hole, Shen Te in Good Person of Szechwan, Nora in Brighton Beach Memoirs, and Abigail Williams in The Crucible directed by James Presson. New York film and television credits include featured roles in HBO’s Girls, ABC’s Pan Am and Guillaume Canet’s new film Blood Ties. Amanda is also a musician and singer and performs around the city with Less Than Rent member Emma Barash in their band Westchester Stabwounds.

Ben Diersens (Danny Everett) is an actor/playwright from San Francisco and a graduate of Fordham University. Dean Acree (Aaron) is a native of Baltimore, MD. After leaving Baltimore, he went abroad to study and perform in the Scotland Fringe Festival. After returning he enrolled at The American Musical & Dramatic Academy. Dean is very excited to be working with a group with such enormous talent in his first production with the LTR!

Jackie Hansen (Sydney) is thrilled to be making her NY stage debut with Less than Rent Theatre company. A recent graduate of the North Carolina School of the Arts, some of her favorite roles include Zan in the Little Foxes and Alice in You Can't Take it With You. Jacob Presson (Matty Pags) is currently working towards his BFA in Acting with a minor in Arts for Communities at Marymount Manhattan College. LTR: Desire! RJ Vaillancourt (Ryan) is a New York City based actor and writer from Rockland County, New York. He recently played Myron in the world premiere of Gilad Cohen's 15-minute musical Healthy Start at Taplin Auditorium in Fine Hall as a part of Princeton University's Sound Kitchen Concert Series. As a member of Less Than Rent Theatre, he has performed in Richard 3 (Fringe NYC '10) and Little Town Blues (The Wild Project), both directed by James Presson. He workshopped and helped devise Songs and Julie at Tenement Street Workshop (Snowballs '12), and his play Family Affairs was workshopped by Less Than Rent at The Gene Frankel Theatre last fall. Tom Sanchez (Greg) is excited to back in his second Less Than Rent production! Although originally from Gilbert, AZ but now he calls Astoria home. A recent graduate of Yale University, Tom Sanchez was a member of the Yale Dramatic Association and the Yale Exit Players. He was recently seen in Desire! [A Varsouviana] (Less Than Rent) and Independents (2012 Fringe Festival Best Overall Production winner, New York Times Critics Pick).
