LongShotz: Arrivals & Departures is aMios Theatre Company's next production as part of an Artist Residency with HorseTrade Theatre Company. Founded in November of 2009 by alumni of the National Theatre Conservatory, aMios (an acronymn for the Oscar Wilde quote "art and music in our souls") is an acting ensemble which commissions theme-based short plays with the goal of creating new work that speaks immediately to the world it in which it's created. Writers are given themes and casts and then have a month to write scripts which are then passed on to teams of actors and directors who have a month to rehearse before opening.

Additional themes for the "Arrivals" plays are someone getting lucky and each piece must include the quote "it's a thing of beauty;" for "Departures" the plays must include a reference to theRosarium Philosophorum and the quote "you keep missing the target."
