The Drafts reading series has featured notable emerging playwrights Pia Wilson (The Public’s EWG), Michael McGuire, Kelley Girod, Paul David Young, Megan Mostyn-Brown (LAByrinth), Terence Patrick Hughes, Augusto Federico Amador (The Public’s EWG), Ziella Bryars, and Micheline Auger. The Drafts also perform annually in The Drafts Fest, a showcase of their talents and the talents of selected playwrights and directors they have met throughout the year. Drafts have been cast members of Lines, Donnie and the Monsters, punkrock/lovesong, and Song for a Future Generation (The Management), all shows produced or presented by Horse Trade. The Drafts will present three new full length Lab Productions in the upcoming season.

Artem Yatsunov (Director) Artem Yatsunov received his B.F.A. in Theater from Montclair State University, NJ in May of 2008. He is the director and organizer of numerous full-length play productions, short-play evenings and mixed discipline events, and is the co-founder and resident director of the StrangeDog. Theatre Company. Christopher Burris (Director) Christopher Burris New York directing credits include Kevin R. Free's A RAISIN IN THE SALAD: BLACK PLAYS FOR WHITE PEOPLE, which was a FringeNYC 2010 hit. He also directed Dennis A. Allen IIIís THE MUD IS THICKER IN MISSISSIPPI, a winner in the 2010 Samuel French Off-Off Broadway Short Play Festival. He has directed several short plays for Sticky at the Bowery Poetry Club, including FALLING OUT WITH GREGARIAN TUNKS, A SHADOW WITH NO FORM, LIFEíS TERMS, ...IN WHICH BISHOP EDDIE LONG LOSES HIS BATTLE WITH THE DEMONS, and GAGA OF THE DEAD. In addition to a series of staged readings for Freedom Train Productions, (including Derek McPhatter's BRING THE BEAT BACK) he has directed numerous projects for Phare Play, Unconscious Collective, and The Fire This Time Festival (EXODUS, BY THE BANKS OF THE NILE). Christopher Diercksen (Director) Christopher Diercksen specializes in developing and directing new plays. Recent Production credits: Christopher Marlowe's Chloroform Dreams by Katharine Sherman; The Henchmen by Bryce Norbitz; Othello, by William Shakespeare; Ampersand: A Romeo and Juliet Story By Mariah MacCarthy. As Literary Manager for Lunar Energy Productions, he runs MOONSHINE: a quarterly play development reading series: In Antarctica, Where It Is Very Warm by Jona Tarlin, Dreams Of The Penny Gods by Callie Kimball. In October, he is directing By Rights We Should Be Giants presented by Lunar Energy Productions. New World premiere directing work includes: MASTODON JUAN (Bowery Poetry Club) and wreckless (Theater For A New City), by Katharine Sherman; Crawl For It, by Joshua Conkel (Horsetrade Theater Group); Parabolas, by Kelley Girod (Horsetrade/Aery Theater - Best Director). He has worked extensively with the New York Neo-Futurists production of Too Much Light Makes The Baby Go Blind. Christopher trained at the Eugene O'Neill Theater Center and is a graduate of Albright College.

Ilaria Amadasi (Director) Born in Parma, Italy, Ilaria’s introduction into professional theater took place when she co-founded the Theater Company "I 4 Cantoni" at the age of fifteen. Ilaria later attended the prestigious Teatro Stabile di Genova. She was the author and Assistant Director of the stage adaptation of Franz Kafka’s “The Castle” and was chosen as the female lead in the show “Time of darkness” . She also received a honorable mention from the national playwriting competition "In Punta di Penna" for the piece “Non ho urlato”. She directed theater therapy workshops for children and seminars of Commedia dell’Arte at “Teatro Vita” (Parma, Italy). Ilaria moved to the US in 2010. She has collaborated on several productions at the Off-Broadway 45 Bleecker Theater and worked as Assistant Director for the show "American Addict" (Hollywood Fringe Festival). Most recently she worked as Director for the show “Stuck” presented to the Emerging Artists New Works Series.

Kat Yen (Director) Kat Yen is the Co-Artistic Director and Resident Director of Spookfish Theatre Company. Recent NYC directing credits include: Relax! Alice, the NY Times headliner for the 2012 Midtown International Theater Festival as well as nominated for 5 awards including “Oustanding Production of a Play” (Under St. Mark’s, June Havoc Theater); WABI SABI! Not Wasabi which she developed with playwright Ming Peiffer and was the NY Times headliner for Dream Up Festival at Theater for the New City; Pornography for the People (Theater for the New City, Kraine Theater); The Privilege of Death: or how everything went from bad to good (The Gene Frankel Theater) and Anything Goes as part of the Detention series at Primary Stages. Recent assistant directing credits include Hand Over Hand, Night Before Christmas, and Blinded by the Night (Roy Arias Theater). Regional credits include Blasted and Oleanna (Colgate University). Other projects Kat has worked on include The Talk, a short scene written and directed by her put on at LAByrinth Theater as part of their Ensemble Workshop and Homeless Kitty, a guerilla puppet show performed on NYC subways. A member of the Asian American Arts Alliance and a sponsored artist at The Field, Kat has had the opportunity to study theater at St. Andrews University and earned her BA in Theater at Colgate Univeristy. Since then she has had the pleasure of working with the Public Theater, the McCarter Theater, TeatroStageFest LITFNY, Juneteenth Legacy Theatre, Ripe Time, and Red Bull Theater on various shows in various roles.

Mary Beth Smith (Director) Mary Beth Smith has worked as a director in New York City for the past six years. A few of her credits include The Blue Room by David Hare (59E59), In Our Own Image: Big Boy two Scoop by Christopher Heath (Agony Productions), Perpetuation by Sarah Bernstein (American Globe Theatre), and Waking Up With Strangers by Paul David Young (Horse Trade Theater Group). She is also a frequent contributor to nytheatre.com. Before coming to New York, Mary Beth specialized in both directing Shakespeare and magic. She holds an MFA in Directing from the New School for Drama.

Rico Rosetti (Director) Stage credits include: Gingham Dog (Vince), A Doll House (Torvald), Our Lady of 123rd St (Balthazar), As You Like It (Jaques), Trojan Women (Menelaus), Much Ado About Nothing (Don John), HurlyBurly (Eddie). TV: Law& Order (prime), Homicide, All My Children, Guiding Light. As a director, Rico helped create A Gentleman From Mississippi, which toured nationally, as well as other new works (Barking Dawgs, Drama Queen) and musicals (Into The Woods, Annie, Newsies) among others. Rico recieved his MFA at Rutgers, Mason Gross School and currently teaches at The New York Film Academy. He also works as a technician at Horse Trade.
