Jocelyn Bioh
(Playwright)
Jocelyn Bioh is a proud native New Yorker! Jocelyn holds a BA in English and Theatre from The Ohio State University and MFA in Theatre - Playwriting from Columbia University. As a playwright, her latest project "The Ladykiller's Love Story" (music and lyrics by CeeLo Green) will be workshopped in January 2013. Jocelyn was a finalist for the 2011 Southern Rep Ruby Award Prize for her latest play AFRICAN AMERICANS. Previous produced plays at Columbia University include: Identity (2006,) Catching a Mouse (2006,) and Wash N' Dry (2007). Her one act play Fresh Baked Cookies was featured in the Forbidden Fruit Festival in LA in 2007. Previous acting credits include: SEED (Classical Theatre of Harlem), Marcus; or the Secret of Sweet (City Theatre - PA) American Schemes (SummerStage NYC) NEIGHBORS (The Public Theater) and Lightskin/Darkskin which she co-wrote and starred in on a regional tour from 2007 to 2008.
