Antoinette Nwandu is a New York based writer by way of Los Angeles. Her work has been honored with ACTF’s Lorraine Hansberry Playwriting Award and the NEC’s Douglas Turner Ward prize, and has garnered her a literary Fellowship at the Eugene O’Neill Playwrights Conference. Nominations include The Weissberger Award, The Cherry Lane Mentorship Project and The PONY Fellowship. Her plays, including FLAT SAM, THE DYING DAYS OF VIKTOR CASTLE, and BLACK BOY & THE WAR, have been produced and developed by The Movement Theater Company, WordBRIDGE Playwrights Laboratory, Dreamscape Theatre, The Fire This Time Festival, and the Monarch Theater Company. Antoinette graduated magna cum laude from Harvard University and holds masters degrees from The University of Edinburgh, and NYU/Tisch. She is a member of the Dramatist Guild.
