Miranda Huba

MIRANDA HUBA (Playwright) is an award-winning playwright originally from Canada, now based in New York City. She is a founding member of Tiger Milk Collective. Plays include: The History Of My Domestication (commissioned by Playwrights Theatre Centre, Vancouver and also produced at NYC's The Red Room), Hospital City(Video-In Studios, Vancouver and staged reading at Stage Left Studio, NYC), and The Tour (Vancouver and Victoria Fringe Festivals). Recently her play, House of KOSA, received its world premiere in Canada as part of Vancouver's acclaimed SEE SEVEN new theatre series. Her latest play Grounded: A Play in Six Airports is being promoted in Germany as part of the publication New Canadian Drama- a partnership between the Canadian Department of Canadian Heritage and the Theatre Institute in Berlin. She is represented by the PER H. LAUKE VERLAG Agency in Germany. Most recently she was invited to Vancouver to co-create the site- specific theatre piece You Are Invited with HIVE 3 and the Cultural Olympiad. In June 2010 she performed her latest one-woman show Candy Tastes Nice at HERE in NYC as part of their Summer Sublet Series. She holds a BFA from the SFU School for the Contemporary Arts.
