THE BAD ASTRONAUTS have returned from their latest deep space mission to spread Earth humor across the eternal ether of space. While descending into the atmosphere of our lonely sea-blue planet, they discovered a mysterious stowaway: A mad-cool-crazy freak-a-deek whoâs half man, half robot. . and ALL LOVER! After extensive debriefing and probing (much of it consensual), THE BAD ASTRONAUTS are back . . . better, faster, stronger and mission-ready to launch an ALL-NEW SHOW whose phat chunks of sketch comedy have been meticulously engineered to make you laugh, float, sing, shrug, moan and feel . . . until every last Earthling falls in Lover-Tron! "The Adventures of Lover-Tron" is cargo-loaded far past Mission Control safety perimeters . . . with 80 minutes of absurd, warped takes on love, relationships and people who try too hard to mack on librarians. SEE the premiere of Borislava the Russian ex-gymnastâs EROTIC book show. WATCH Mark and Ann put couplesâ THERAPY into action with their birdhouse kit. FIND OUT what happens when Crystal the Renaissance Fair Warbler runs out of MADRIGAL songs. BEAR WITNESS to how Tammy Brickfingers saves her poor Ma and Pa from natural DISASTERS, over and over again. THRILL to so very, very, MUCH, much more. |

THE BAD ASTRONAUTS, currently Resident Artists with Horse Trade Theater Group, have been performing in NYC for two years. They first met as members of the Oberlin College improv troupe "Primitive Streak." Their NYC performances have included "The Bad Astronaut Show" at the Duplex Cabaret Theatre, "Cut Me Some Slacks" at the Present Company and "Phallaxy Quest" at The Red Room. THE BAD ASTRONAUTS, who devote a sizable chunk of their bloated pork-barrel budget to research and development, will return to The Red Room with all-new material in 2003. Space: this is whatâs in it for you. |
