KATHRYN HOLTKAMP is very excited to be a part of New Hamelin. She was last seen as Helen Walsingham in Half a Sixpence with Musicals Tonight!, directed by Tom Mills. She was also recently seen at TheatreVision/PlayTime in the original workshop of Sleep Heart by Dan Sweeney. Before that, she performed with Musicals Tonight! in the fall as Polly in The Boy Friend. NIC ROULEAU is currently a junior at NYU, studying Musical Theatre in Steinhardt. At NYU, he has been seen in Floyd Collins (Homer), Urinetown (Robby the Stockfish), Edges, Romeo and Juliet (Paris), and The Language of Angels (Seth). He was also featured in the 8th Annual Bound for Broadway concert with Salzman and Cunningham’s Next Thing You Know, which he performed at NYU in October. |

ADAM DAVID COHEN (composer) is a Graduate of the Musical Theatre Writing Program at Tisch School of the Arts. He is the founder and executive director of LITTLE VILLAGE PLAYHOUSE (LVP), a not for profit collaborative theatre group in Pleasantville, NY. Recent LVP directing credits include: First Lady Suite, Sweeney Todd, Floyd Collins, Bernarda Alba, Pacific Overtures, Saturn Returns, Gorey Stories, Anyone Can Whistle, and The Portable Pioneer and Prairie Show. Adam has composed the scores for Oh Manhattan! (performed at Rose’s Turn in 1997), Sodom (performed at the Riant Theatre) as well as RumpleStiltSkin and The Hadleyburg Project (produced by LVP). Adam has worked as a composer for Independent Film Channel, Bravo and American Movie Classics. |
KEVIN LAUB (lyricist/bookwriter) began performing in local community theatre in New York when he was twelve years old, and has appeared in over fifty plays and musicals since then. He has written the lyrics and book for the musicals Oh Manhattan!, RumpleStiltSkin, Sodom, and The Hadleyburg Project, all with composer Adam David Cohen. Kevin has been seen performing at the Vineyard, the Duplex, Here, and Rose's Turn. He can currently be seen giving five performances a week teaching high school English in Northern Virginia. |
MARCUS BAKER (music director) is pleased to be working with Horse Trade and Adam Cohen again. Marcus was last seen under the auspices of Horse Trade in drag as the music director for Sodom: The Musical at the Kraine Theater on the Lower East Side. Recently returned from a stint in an interim position at Penn State University as an accompanist for their music theatre department, Marcus is currently working in youth theatre and education in the area: as a choral artist with the Metropolitan Opera Guild and an accompanist/music director throughout New York's boroughs and New Jersey's cities (Morristown, and Madison). He is very much looking forward to the summer, when he plans to have some time off. |
STEPHANIE KOVACS (director) is a director and teaching artist with such companies as The Florida Studio Theatre, The Two River Theatre, The University of Illinois, Little Village Playhouse, The Play Group Theatre, Theatre Arts Center, and Performing Arts from the Heart. Some productions include: The Hadleyburg Project, Metamorphoses, Six Women with Brain DeathŠ, Our Town, Merrily We Roll Along, A My Name Will Always Be Alice, and Into The Woods, Woody Guthrie¹s American Song, among others. She¹s taught workshops in schools across Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Ohio, and New York. Stephanie also works as an AEA/SAG actress and independent casting director. She trained at NYU Tisch School of the Arts, Stella Adler Conservatory, A.C.T., Yale, the University of Illinois, and Minneapolis Children¹s Theatre. |
