A performance retrospective of stories from the Pumpkin Pie Show, featuring the work of actress Hanna Cheek.

This show will include such favorites from the Pumpkin Pie's past as...

Vagina Dentata (from the PPS's "The Birds And The Bees): A mother pitches her last-ditch effort to save her son's virginity from the hormonal temptations of prom night.

Overbite (from the PPS's "Big Top"): The Iron Jaw, the circus's most alluring trapeze artist, shares her love woes with one of her suitors.

Half and Half (from the PPS's "Big Top"): A hermaphrodite lounge singer... What more could one ask for?

the Wheels on the Bus Go (from the PPS's "Rise Perverts, Rise!"): A deaf teenager shares her trials and tribulations from the back-seat of the bus on her daily ride to school.

President of the Fan Club (from the PPS's "Donation Plate"): A lonely housewife runs the fan club of her favorite serial killer, spearheading a campaign to get him off from death row.

PLUS the New Story The Suitors' Ward: An army nurse must combat the marriage proposals of over a dozen different wounded soldiers.

Clay McLeod Chapman is the author of rest area, a collection of short stories, and miss corpus, a novel -- both published by Hyperion Books.

Hanna Cheek spent the last four years of her acting career bouncing between New York, Los Angeles and Chicago in a feverish attempt to become a working tri-coastal actress. She most recently performed The Pumpkin Pie Show: Big Top (a collection of long character monologues) to rave reviews, The Red Room in NYC. Other stage credits include The Seagull (Nina) and Kindertransport (Ava) at Sarah Lawrence College. She performed with Judith: A Comedy Troupe at The Kitchen, NYC, and would have replaced Rachel Miner or Margot in The Diary of Anne Frank (Music Box Theatre, NYC) had they not decided to close the show. Damn. In Los Angeles, she co-wrote, directed and performed in Bad Touch: A Sketchy Show at Masquers Theatre, as well as many improvised comedies at the Improv Olympic Theatre. Television credits include a guest starring role on Titus (Fox), a recurring role on Undressed (MTV), and a featured role on The West Wing (NBC). Hanna studied at Sarah Lawrence College, The British Academy of Dramatic Arts and Improv Olympic West.

One Ring Zero is Michael Hearst and Joshua Camp. Based in New York City, they perform regularly at venues around the city including The Knitting Factory, Galapagos, and Tonic. They recently performed at the Whitney Museum of Art, at Lincoln Center’s Damrosch Park, and at the Central Park Summer Stage with George Plimpton and Paul Auster.
