On October 3rd, The Strange Box of Dr. Oddbody returns for its fourth season of blood-curdling, spine-tingling and always hilarious tales of improvised horror/comedy. This season marks the show's premiere at Under St. Mark's Theater , and is the brainchild of director/performer Adam Nowak. For the first time, production credits will be shared by both Adam Nowak and the Horse Trade Theater Company.

Inspired by the Twilight Zone, the writing of H.P. Lovecraft and 1950's horror comics, The Strange Box of Dr. Oddbody is performed as an anthology of three fully-improvised vignettes, and is hosted by Dr. Oddbody himself (as played by Adam Nowak).

Found in a ruined pyramid in the jungles of Peru , the Strange Box contains dark, evil powers and mysteries beyond imagination - powers that can only be harnessed by one Dr. Avery Oddbody. A brilliant - if flawed - professor from Miskatonic University, Dr. Oddbody is the sole wielder of the Box's terrible power. With it, he has summoned up a cadre of undead performers to enact bizarre and frightening nightmares for the delight and disgust of discerning audiences this fall.

Will Oddbody's experiment in the Occult succeed in making people pee themselves with laughter and/or terror? Will his performers stay in one piece before the show is over, or decay all over the front row? Is theater dead…or undead? See this wild and funny show to find out!

Hosted by
