99 SEAT THEATER

The Kraine Theater is one of the hottest
OFF and OFF-OFF Broadway downtown venues.

With 99 fixed theater chairs and high ceilings, the theater has a sense of spaciousness while still maintaining the intimacy of a smaller space.

This space is equipped with a back stage crossover. In addition, behind the stage there is a nice sized dressing room, with two bathrooms, and stage access from two doors in the dressing room. The back wall is made up of two curtained stage entrances on both side and three 4'x8' fully rotating panels in the center, allowing for a great variety of stage entrances and exits.

The lighting system includes a carefully designed rep plot, that allows a great variety of looks, areas and colors, and also includes four refocusable and regelable instruments, to allow even greater versatility.

This space is equipt with a strong sound package including: a mixing board with a mic jack, 2 CD players, dual cassette deck, and 4 speaker stereo sound. This space also has a stage mic hooked up to a booth monitor.

In an effort to keep a space of this size within the financial reach of the Downtown theater community, it is run on a repertory slot rental basis, with two shows a night running almost every weekend.
