Andres du Bouchet

ANDRES DU BOUCHET has been writing and performing original comedy in New York City since 1995. His unique characters, monologues, sketches and absurdist style make him hard to miss, as do his loudness and size. He was recently featured in Backstage magazine's "Comedy Best Bets 2004" issue, which said of du Bouchet, "He's the kind of consistent performer you know will always do something fresh and original, not to mention wonderfully silly...so run and catch him now, while Hollywood's loss is our comedy gain."

du Bouchet is the creator and host of Giant Tuesday Night Of Amazing Inventions And Also There Is A Game, currently running every Tuesday evening at UNDER St. Marks in Manhattan. This popular weekly show is a frequent "Don't Miss" pick in Time Out New York, which also named it "NYC's Best Comedy/Variety Show (Cumbersome Title Division)". GTNOAIAATIAG also won the award for "Best Variety Show" in the 2004 "Emerging Comics of New York Awards". du Bouchet specializes in slyly absurd characters, such as six-time Boliviguayan Entertainer-of-the-Year Francisco Guglioni, or notorious mobster Frankie No-Pants. He has appeared three times in sketches on Late Night With Conan O'Brien (twice in pants), and twice on Tough Crowd with
Colin Quin. In addition to GTNOAIAATIAG, he performs regularly at comedy shows throughout the city, including " Eating It " at Luna Lounge and "Moonwork".

du Bouchet is a frequent contributor to "Jest" magazine. His writing has also appeared in "The Onion's A.V. Club", and one of his pieces will be included in the upcoming third edition of the humor compendium "Mirth of a Nation."
