Hooray for Speech Therapy

The Calendar

Written and Performed by Kurt Fitzpatrick

“Hooray For Speech Therapy” is the first comedic one-man show about stuttering performed by a stutterer. Actor/comedian Kurt Fitzpatrick takes his audience through a sixty-minute journey through his experiences of being a stammering actor, including his run-ins with talking dogs, Catholic guilt, bad genetics, and narcissistic speech therapists.

Kurt will detail his Southern stay in a three-week intensive speech therapy “boot-camp” in Roanoke, Virginia, as well as his sweet revenge on a nasty childhood speech therapist. It’s time to get the word out… In more ways than one!

Kurt has spent the last five years in New York’s improv/sketch comedy scene, and wrote, directed, and starred in the indie feature “Kin.” This is his first one-man show.
