"Wake Up, Slug! . . with Chad and Barb" is the fictional televised "morning show" which airs when the sun goes down. Its target audience includes people who sleep all day due to depression, alcoholism, depression, etc.

Join hosts Chad Picauliffe, Barb Shetley, and "rugged, roving reporter' Action Gene for interviews with "Inertial Guru" Craig Fosser, celebrity astrologer Kincy Hallershoff, and mind-game expert Willa Roz. Also find out how to manufacture your own narcotics at home (with the help of a secret celebrity guest), and watch Action Gene's hard-hitting, in-depth expose on blankets. "Wake Up, Slug! . . with Chad and Barb" was written by Jeff Sproul (creator of last year's very successful "Minutes Later. . . ")

Wake Up Slug is directed by Jeremy Mather, and stars Billy Cook, Tracy Larson, and Jeff Sproul. The show interweaves video and live performances, smoothly segueing from one medium to the other. The live scenes feature Chad, Barb, and Gene as they interview their guests and hold unique demonstrations, whereas the video segments are used for commercial breaks, on-the-scene interviews, and via-satellite transmissions.

Jeff Sproul earned his BA in theatre from Colorado State University before coming to New York to study at the New Actors Workshop. After completing the two-year program, he appeared in numerous plays, short films, and improv troupes. He has been a performer and writer for two NYC sketch comedy groups - Baby Fishmouth and Commedia Dell' Jiles, and has also written material for the Toyota Comedy Festival. His last multimedia comedy project "Minutes Later. . . " enjoyed an extended run at the Kraine Theatre in 2001.

Tracy Larson wanted so many things. She was a Good Samaritan to the needy impoverished scumbags without homes. She always had a smile on her face whenever she wasn't pissed. We will remember fondly the times she used to say the words "flickerpiss hubaloo" in a Ugandan accent without even the slightest trace of wit. She is in our prayers and drunken screams. Tracy Larsen, 1971 - 2064.

Billy Cook is a bit of a slug himself.

Jeremy Mather (Director)- Mr. Mather is no stranger. He knows you and your family very well. He watches you. He sees the things that nobody else should see. He is the little voice in the back of your mind that makes the hairs on your neck stand up. He's a Leo (on the Cancer cusp!) and enjoys movies and long strolls through the hospital on moonlit nights. Sometimes he weeps. But this show makes him laugh.
