After being featured at a number of Fringe festivals across the country, Bob Wiseman is bringing his critically-acclaimed play Actionable to New York's Kraine Theater for one night only on February 2cnd. Actionable is unique play in the sense that it is presented to the audience utilizing Super 8 film, video projection, power-point and musical breaks on accordion, guitar and keyboard.
Actionable reflects upon hilarious litigious situations when Bob Wiseman tried to establish a solo career after quitting pop group Blue Rodeo in 1991. Lawyers for Prince, lawyers for Warner Music, lawyers for Pepsi Cola, lawyers for David Geffen, lawyers for Blue Rodeo and Canadian & lawyer Doug Christie, are among the unexpected “cast members” with whom he rubs shoulders. & Mr. Wiseman plans to represent himself.
Bob Wiseman is a former member of Blue Rodeo and The Hidden Cameras, producer for Ron Sexsmith, Bruce McCulloch and Scott Thompson of Kids In The Hall, winner of Juno Awards and Lifetime Achievement awards from CBC. Wiseman lives in Toronto where he is a filmmaker, composer and no good loud mouth schnook.
