Girls On Film is the funny-because-it’s-true story of how one young man braves bullies, drug dealers, child psychiatrists, eating disorders, moral crises, and eternal damnation on a monumental quest to see a girl without her clothes on, no matter how grainy the film stock.
Storyteller and host Brad Lawrence (And I Am Not Lying and The Moth) takes you back to a time before the Internet, when a young boy had to be part Indiana Jones and part Ninja to see porn. In the 1980's the endless quest to see a bare breast could change a lot about a young man’s life. For Brad, it changes everything from his standing at school to his religion, to the number of people at the next family reunion. And that is just what happens before his parents get cable. It is a bumpy bus ride through a coming of age that was decidedly Freaks And Geeks, but wanted desperately to be The Red Shoe Diaries.
