Tenderpits tells the completely 100% half-true story of a young wizard's immigration from the wilderness of Canada to New York City. It is a fast paced genre-destroying comedy possessed by bouts of unrestrained hopefulness and brutal intimacy.

ANTHONY JOHNSTON is an actor/writer/director based in New York City. Anthony has worked in professional theatre, film & television across Canada. Some credits include: 'Alan' in the most recent Canadian revival of Equus (CitadelTheatre), 'Billy' in the first Canadian productions of Edward Albee's The Goat or Who is Sylvia? (Manitoba Theatre Centre, Centaur Theatre, Montreal),'Bill Mercer' in Soulpepper Theatre's Dora-Award Winning revival of David French's Leaving Home(opposite Kenneth Welsh), 'Brodie' in Tom Stoppard's The Real Thing (Manitoba Theatre Centre) and 'Gary' in the Western Canadian premiere of Mark Ravenhill's Shopping and Fucking (Pi and Ruby Slippers Theatre, Vancouver). In NYC, Anthony has worked with StageLeft Studio, New York Theatre Experiment, the 13th Street Theatre, and Ensemble Studio Theatre’s Young Blood. His two solo performance pieces Art's Heart and ***[tenderpits]*** have been seen across Canada, throughout NYC and in NJ.

NATHAN SCHWARTZ is an actor, director and theatre creator who has recently returned to New York City from Canada. Directing credits include, ***[tenderpits]*** at the 2010 NYC Frigid Festival and at thef irst annual United Solo Festival, Art's Heart (winner, Outstanding Solo Show FringeNY 2009) Ragnarok Out! with Suburban Beast for Nuit Blanche2009 at The Theatre Centre (Toronto) as well as the HATCH 2009 hit, It Takes Two Men to Make a Brother, an exploration of male fraternity culture, at the Harbour front Centre (Toronto). Nathan has worked as an actor across Canada and in Tel-Aviv at the Cameri and at Israel's National Theatre, Habima. He has studied with clown and bouffon luminaries Karen Hines and Adam Lazarus. Nathan is a graduate of Studio 58 Theatre School.
