Courtney Shaw

Courtney Shaw is a recent graduate of Circle in the Square's acting and musical theatre program here in NYC. She was most recently seen as Little Sally in their production of Urinetown, as well as Doris in Arthur Miller's The American Clock. Hailing from Connecticut, Courtney has worked with two of their equity theatre companies. With The River Rep she was seen as Daphne in Noel Coward's Present Laughter and in Shakespeare's Much Ado About Nothing/Beatrice and A Midsummer Night's Dream/First Fairy. With the Ivoryton Playhouse she played Sheila in An Inspector Calls and Lilly/Katie in Quilters. Courtney is also a graduate of the Greater Hartford Academy of the Arts where she played Ado Annie in Oklahoma! and the title role in Evita. She's delighted to have the opportunity to tackle Shakespeare again, this time to music!

Elena Chang (Rosa/Jaq) is thrilled to be working with the Horse Trade Theater Group in the production of "Punk Rock Love Song". She has recently been seen in the remount of award-winning "Fight Girl Battle World", with Vampire Cowboys Theatre Company. Selected acting credits: 365 days/365 plays, Ma-yi Theatre Company; The Odyssey, Looking Glass Theatre; Troilus & Cressida, Shakespeare Globe. Elena is a BFA graduate of Mason Gross School of the Arts, Rutgers University. She gives thanks to friends and family for all their continued love and support. Survival of the heartist.

Folake Olowofoyeku

Folake Olowofoyeku is a Nigerian-born actress who grew up between London and Nigeria and has now settled in New York City. In a short time she has not only pursued an acting career but has successfully obtained a BA in Theatre from The City College of New York(with Honors) and a Diploma in Audio Engeineering from The Institue of Audio Engineering. Since Folake's move she has had the honor of working with theater directors such as Alfred Preisser of The Classical Theater of Harlem in their production of 'Trojan Women', Rob Barron of TheaterWorks/USA in 'Angels In America', and Harland Meltzer of The Colonial Theatre in 'The Vagina Monologues'. She also played the lead role of Sally Bowels in 'Cabaret' at the Aaron Davis Hall Theatre in Harlem.

Heidi Grumelot

Heidi Grumelot works for Horse Trade Theater Group and is responsible for Artistic Development including literary management, producing TOLD, directing the Drafts, and facilitating a monthly original play reading series. She worked as a casting assistant for Impressionism on Broadway; The Cripple of Inishman at Atlantic Theater Company; the World Premier of Shawshank Redemption at The Gaiety Theater in Dublin; Holiday Garland at The Westport Country Playhouse; and Hamlet and Hair at Shakespeare in the Park. She assistant directed and stage managed Anthony & Cleopatra, Love’s Labour’s Lost, and A Christmas Carol for the American Shakespeare Center. Her directing credits include Dido and Aeneas for The New York Collective of Performing Arts at The West End Theater and The Boston Early Music Festival; A River Pure for Healing at Under St Marks Theater, Accidents Do Happen and Tom’s Things in The Red Room; and A Midsummer Night's Dream, The Jungle Book, The Tempest, and Love's Labour's Lost in theaters in Michigan and Virginia.

Ian Temple

Ian Temple grew up in Brooklyn, New York where he has dedicated his life to this artform ever since the "Dinosaur Play" in first grade. Ian has a feature length independent film called "Target" set for release this coming winter. He is most thankful to be working consistently on projects close to his heart, including his one-man comedic musical about spirituality called "Out Of Body", as well as commercially. He is thrilled to be playing the lyrically adept though nonetheless foolish Holifernes in this ambitious production. Ian graduated with a BFA in Acting from SUNY Purchase in 2008. He would like to thank the fantastic team he is working with for believing in him, and for coming together to make this project a reality this October.

J.Stephen Brantley

J.Stephen Brantley is a writer and performer whose work has been commissioned by Lincoln Center Director’s Lab and Performance Space 122 where his Distortion Taco was named a Village Voice Pick of the Year. J.Stephen has performed with Big Dance Theatre, Cucaracha, EAT and Lucky Artists, and has appeared at venues including the Sanford Meisner, Soho Rep, HERE, and The Palladium. He is a graduate of NYU’s Experimental Theatre Wing, a student-volunteer for Kabbalah Centre International, and a member of Emerging Artists Theatre. He lives with his partner in New York City and Southampton Village.

Jaq Bessell

Jaq Bessell is a director, acting coach and dramaturg. She began teaching while working with Kenneth Washington at the Guthrie Theater, where she helped found the “Guthrie Experience for Actors in Training”. Currently Jaq is a Fellow at the Shakespeare Institute in Stratford upon Avon, where she teaches in the M.A. Shakespeare and Theatre program. She specializes in Shakespeare in performance, under the conditions of what has become known as “original stage practices”, and is one of only four artists to have worked at both the reconstructed Globe and Blackfriars theatres. Maxwell Eddy

Maxwell Eddy is extremely excited to play 'the magnificent Armado' in this production! He recently graduated from NYU's Tisch School of the Arts where he studied at the Experimental Theatre Wing. At school he had the opportunity to work in productions with incredible directors, such as Lear DeBessonet, David Herskovitz, and Moises Kaufman. NY credits include: 1812! The Musical(Midtown International Theatre Festival) and Demetrius in Midsummer with Hudson Warehouse Company. In 2005 Maxwell won a Paper Mill Playhouse Rising Star Award for his role as Fagin in Oliver! Love to Mama, Papa, and Molly.

Rashmi is an actress/singer/songwriter/screenwriter. She was most recently seen in RON HOWARD'S ANGELS AND DEMONS . As an actress working in Los Angeles and New York City, her strong theatrical background includes The Skin of Our Teeth at the Joseph Papp Public Theatre's Shakespeare in the Park, Zabina/Zenocrate in Target Margin's Tamburlaine the Great, Parts I/II; Tiresias in Antigone for the New York Fringe Festival, With Strings with Africa Arts for which she was nominated for an AUDELCO award. In Los Angeles, she was a member of the prestigious Classical Theatre Lab doing Summer Shakespeare in The Merry Wives of Windsor. She premiered the successful West Coast production of Painted Alice,in which she played Alice. She has a strong commercial car eer and you can always catch her in one on television. As a singer/songwriter, Rashmi has played on both coasts and her music is available on itunes, cdbaby and on her website, www.rashmisingh.com. ; She is playing at THE BITTER END at 147 Bleeker Street on September 10th at 7:30 pm. Zak Risinger

Zak Risinger is pumped to be a part of PRLS! He was born and bred where the wind comes sweeping down the plain and graduated from the University of Oklahoma. New York Credits: Merry Wives of Windsor, Don Juan Does New Jersey, Iron Curtain: The Musical, and Summer and Smoke. Zak has performed regionally in over a dozen states. Favorite credits: Metamophoses, Julius Caesar, Man of LaMancha , Treasure Island, Fiddler on the Roof, Italian American Reconciliation, Idols of the King, HONK!, and The Underpants. No stranger to playing characters down on their luck, Zak originated th e role of homeless eccentric, Crazy Bike Guy, in the world premiere of Drive-In America performed at The Kennedy Center.
