Because just 17% of America's main stage productions are written by women, Wide Eyed Productions attempts to tip the scales and expose eager audiences to more fantastic theatre. A Girl Wrote It is an ambitious evening of four dark, dangerous, and humorous plays with universal themes.

The production, presented byWide Eyed Productionsas residents of Horse Trade Theater Group will play a three week engagement at The Red Room (85 East 4th Street between 2nd Ave and Bowery), February 3-20, Thursday through Saturday at 7pm and Sundays at 2pm (except Sunday, February 6). Lucy McRae- (B)- Lucy graduated from Manhattanville College with a B.A. in Theatre. Upon moving to New York she started working in the downtown theatre scene. Past New York productions include One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, A Midsummer Night's Dream, The Spin Cycle (all with Wide Eyed Productions), Arias in the Key of Clown (New York International Fringe Festival), Passed Hordes (Medicine Show Theater), and How to be a doll (Mir Productions). Lucy is proud to be a part of this series of one-acts celebrating female writers. Anthony Mead- (D)-

Mim Granahan- (Efficient Woman)- Mim Granahan is excited to be making her first appearance with Wide Eyed! She was last seen as Summer in The Big Move, a one-act play which she also wrote. Obligatory favorite stage roles include Cecily in The Importance of Being Earnest, Elvira in Blithe Spirit, and Girl in Hot L Baltimore. Her film work includes a supporting role in We Follow the Rules, which recently debuted at The Orlando Film Festival, and a lead in The Babysitter, which was featured at the 2010 SXSW Festival. Kristin Skye Hoffmann- (Director/The Return of Toodles Von Flooz)- Kristin is the Founding Artistic Director of Wide Eyed Productions. She's a graduate of the Performing Arts school at the University of Northern Colorado where she earned her B.A. in Acting and Directing. Her most recent directing projects include Brian Watkins’ My Daughter Keeps Our Hammer, Wasserman's One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, Shakespeare's Much Ado About Nothing, and Euripides' The Medea for Wide Eyed Productions. Other NY credits include: A Midsummer Night's Dream for Jackson Repertory Theatre, the award-winning production of Plays for the Sunni Triangle, In Sheep's Clothing by Jerrod Bogard (Strawberry One Act Festival Best Director & Best Play Nominee), and The Accommodation by Paul Cohen. This July she is directing The Trojan Women in The Kraine Theatre. Favorite acting credits include; Mrs. Slater in A Devil Inside, Amy in First Base Coach, Lizzy in Noah’s Arkansas and many, many more! Kristin is a part time acting coach and full time artist and lover of life. She is a South Dakota native and a graduate of The University of Wyoming where she earned her Bachelor of Music Degree in Vocal Performance. Brianne is a proud Wide Eyed Productions Company Member. Her theater credits include Theresa in "What Happens To Women Here" (Stone Soup), "A New Way to Pay Old Debts" (Red Bull Theater Company), Alice in "Expecting" (The Player's Theater), Touchstone in "As You Like It" (Midtown Festival, Best Supporting Actress Nomination/MITF Awards), "The Wind in the Willows" (The Garage Theater), Lady Macbeth in "Macbeth" (Red Door Theater Comapny), Bottom in "A Midsummer Night's Dream" (Dark Lady Players), "Dick and Spooner" (The Lookingglass Theater), "Much Ado About Nothing" (Manhattan Rep), "Moon" (Peculiar Works), Cominius in "Coriolanus" (R.A.D.A. George Bernard Shaw Theater), Deborah in "A Kind of Alaska" (Stella Adler), and Lisa in "Boys' Life" (Stella Adler). Mike Komala- (Two)- Michael is a graduate of The New York Conservatory for Dramatic Arts: School for Film and Television. His NY theatre credits include Noah’s Arkansas by Jerrod Bogard (Wide Eyed Productions)& Pullman Car Hiawatha and Macbeth: Let It Be at New York Conservatory for Dramatic Arts, staged reading of Joint Custody at Richmond Shepard Theatre, and staged reading in The Yeats Project at The Irish Repertory Theatre.

Andrew Harriss- (Merck)- Andrew Harriss' New York credits include Euripides' The Medea, Much Ado about Nothing, A Devil Inside, One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest, The Last Days of Judas Iscariot, all with Wide Eyed Productions. Other work includes Gorilla Rep's Hamlet, All for Love with Boomerang, Don Juan in Prague at BAM, and is the writer/performer of his one man show Filibustero adapted from the congressional record. Film and TV includes The Last Chapter, Marathon, Blood pudding, Rescue Me, Less than Perfect. Andrew holds a BFA from Hofstra University and is an original company member of Wide Eyed Productions.

Sean Hefferon- (Rov)-

Melissa Johnson- (Ru)- Melissa sits on the Artistic Board as a Founding Acting Company member of Wide Eyed Productions. She has been recently seen on stage as; "Wanderer" A World Elsewhere:Arias in the Key of Clown 2009 NY Fringe Festival, "Pippi Shorttights" in The Swashgigglers and Their Time Machine (look for it in Fringe Jr. 2011) , Celine in Hedge part of The Spin Cycle; an evening of one acts by Jerrod Bogard (Wide Eyed Productions/Shortened Attention Span), Verges in Much Ado About Nothing (Wide Eyed Productions), Chorus/Medea's Child in The Medea (WEP and Hudson Shakespeare Co) Dolores in Murder Me Always (Laugh Factory NYC) and her favorite role to date Helena in A Midsummer Nights Dream (Jackson Repertory Theater). She also dabbles in directing and producing having spent 2010 assistant directing and/or producing all WEP shows last season. Melissa is originally from Milwaukee, WI and is a graduate of the Stella Adler Conservatory in NYC. 
Lesley Stone- Stage Manager- Lesley Stone recently moved to New York City, from Texas, to pursue her dream of becoming an actress. She received her Bachelors Degree in Business Management from Sam Houston State University in 2008 and is currently attending The New York Conservatory for Dramatic Arts. This is her second show in New York (with Wide Eyed!) and she is so excited to be a part of it!
Joe Novak- Lighting Design- Off-Broadway; The Picture of Dorian Gray The Kirk Theatre, Odds Bodkin’s The Odyssey Lincoln Center, Off-Off Broadway; Henry VI part III,  The Last Days Of Judas Iscariot Wide Eyed Productions, Fault Lines  Invisible City Theatre Company. Colin Whitely-Sound Design- Colin moved to NYC in September, since he has designed Henry VI part III (Classic Stage Company, for Wide Eyed Productions) Paternity by Winter Miller (Cherry Lane Theater) Letters to the End of the World by Anton Dudley (At Hand Theater Co.) Trying by Erin Browne (Trying Productions) True West by Sam Shepard (The Athena Theater Company) and assisted on shows such as Charles Busch’s The Devine Sister; +30NY (Red Fern Company); The Cocktail Party (TACT) and Enjoy (The Play Company). He studied theater production at the University of Southern Maine. He would like to thank all those who have supported him through the years and Rachel for her undying support.

 

Lynda Green- (Clementine)- Lynda received bachelor’s degrees from Rutgers College in English and Theater Arts. She is also a graduate of the Maggie Flanigan Acting Conservatory. She interned at the Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey and the Ensemble Studio Theatre. She was a founding member of WetLab, an E.S.T. workshop for actors, writers and directors. Her original one-act play, Genius Andronicus, was produced by WetLab and by the Manhattan Theatre Source. She also had an original full-length play, Unthymely, featured at the Midtown Theatre Festival. As an actor Lynda has appeared in Twelfth Night, Richard II, The Importance of Being Earnest, and  Five Women Wearing the Same Dress. Lynda has worked with NJ Repertory Company, the Villagers Theater and was a founding memeber of Verses Theatre Lab.

Kris Montgomery- (Selection)- Kris Montgomery began her career as an entertainer, performing in 40 states and 10 countries including performing the starring role of Eva Peron on 2 International Tours of "Evita".  She is a member of Actors Equity Association, Screen Actors Guild, and the Dramatists Guild (as a playwright).  While Kris now works a day job as a computer "guru", she is an Assistant Artistic Director with Another Octave: CT Women's Chorus and plays keyboards/sings with the band, Those 4 Girls.

Lisa Ferber- (The Return of Toodles Von Flooz)- Lisa Ferber is prolifically creative. Her work focuses on people and their interactions, oftentimes displaying humorous social commentary. Her plays and songs have been performed at La Mama, The Duplex, The Brick, and other venerable locations, and her play "Bonbons for Breakfast" was a New York magazine “notable production.” Her play "Lisa Ferber's 'An Evening With Molly Hadafew'" is published in "The Book of Estrogenius 2008." She studied lyric writing with the Tony-honored BMI Lehman Engel Musical Theatre Program. Her stories have been read at Dirty Laundry, Barbes, and she was featured in the KGB evening “People Who Get More Done Than I Do.” She appeared in the final film of underground icon Doris Wishman, "Each Time I Kill," featuring cameos by filmmaker John Waters and B-52s vocalist Fred Schneider. She made her singing debut in the musical "Whimsellica's Grand Inheritance," which she wrote with Emmy-nominated composer Robert Firpo-Cappiello. “Whimsellica’s Grand Inheritance” was turned into a film, screenplay by and featuring Ms. Ferber, and was the audience-vote winner and a judges’ finalist in the Indie Pix “It Came From You” contest. Her paintings and illustrations have shown at National Arts Club, Governors Island Art Fair, and other galleries, and have sold to private collectors. She was a guest celebrity on WVOX Radio and was profiled on BroadwayAfterDark.com.

Elizabeth Birkenmeier- (Plight of the Apothecary)- Elizabeth is working toward her MFA in dramatic writing at Carnegie Mellon School of Drama and learning to fly small planes.  She received her BA in drama from Washington University, where she won the A.E. Hotchner Playwriting Competition and the Leota Diesel Ashton Prize in Playwriting.  Her plays CANDLESTICK PARK and ONE EXTRAORDINARY DARKNESS premiered in St. Louis, MO.  THE TOASTER SONG was a finalist for the 2009 Heideman Prize.  Her seven-minute adaptation of Agamemnon, THE INSECT FEAR, recently received a workshop at the Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival.  Onstage, she has performed with St. Louis Shakespeare, Adventure Stage Chicago, and Upstream Theatre, and was nominated for a Kevin Kline Award for her performance in the U.S. Premiere of MARIJA'S PICTURES.

Colin Whitely-Sound Design- Colin moved to NYC in September, since he has designed Henry VI part III (Classic Stage Company, for Wide Eyed Productions) Paternity by Winter Miller (Cherry Lane Theater) Letters to the End of the World by Anton Dudley (At Hand Theater Co.) Trying by Erin Browne (Trying Productions) True West by Sam Shepard (The Athena Theater Company) and assisted on shows such as Charles Busch’s The Devine Sister; +30NY (Red Fern Company); The Cocktail Party (TACT) and Enjoy (The Play Company).
