Kevin Townley
Kevin Townley has performed in Hollywood blockbusters, elementary school cafeterias, and everywhere in between. He sings in the rock band, Bambï, which recently completed a sold-out run of their live concept album, GOODBAR (based on Judith Rossner’s Looking for Mr. Goodbar), at The Public Theatre. Their debut album, Bad News in a Party Dress, and EP Dogs on the Dance Floor, are available on Amazon & iTunes. Kevin’s been in a zillion Off- and Off-Off-Broadway shows, including the international hit Shockheaded Peter, which starred the British cult band, The Tiger Lillies. He was seen on the big screen playing a young Eddie Izzard in Ivan Reitman’s My Super Ex-Girlfriend, and as a terrible valet alongside Jonah Hill in The Sitter (and on the small screen in all the Law & Orders). He can also be seen in Men in Black 3 and The Comedy, starring Tim Heidecker. Kevin co-hosts and -produces the monthly themed-variety show, The Talent Show, with Elna Baker, which has featured Ira Glass, John Hodgman, Janeane Garofolo, They Might Be Giants and many others. Kevin and Elna are currently writing a Young Adult novel for Scholastic. Kevin is not only a Moth Grand Slam finalist, but has also been listed as one of New York’s best dressed by Time Out New York and Worst Dressed by Star Magazine. The Associated Press has called him ”Magnetic” and ”Fabulous” and The New Yorker observed that he is ”Phenomenal.” Yay!
