Roland Lane

Roland Lane (Deacon, Keys) was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and raised in Hillsborough, New Jersey. As a kid he was involved in various athletics, such as football, basketball, baseball and went on to run Track and Field at Salisbury University. While attending the university he got his first taste of theatre while putting on a performance for children in the play Alice in Wonderland. Originally he went to school to become a director for television and film, he found a new love in theatre. After graduating from the university and receiving a Bachelor’s Degree in Mass Media, he enrolled in the New York Film Academy in Manhattan to study acting. While there he performed in numerous projects from film and theatre, and has performed at the Players Club Theatre, and The Tank Theatre. Also he is getting involved with Story Building Foundation Inc; A non-profit organization that inspires hope, self-expression, and leadership in young people through experiencing and documenting through the creative process of art. Since then he has been involved with the called Empire comedy, an improvisation and sketch comedy group that performs monthly at The Tank.
