Anita Rochon

ANITA ROCHON (Director) works as a director and theatre creator in Vancouver, across Canada and Europe. She’s been involved in the development of more than 25 new works of theatre, ranging from movement-based pieces, verbatim theatre to traditional scripts. She co- artistic directs The Chop Theatre (www.thechoptheatre.com) with Emelia Symington Fedy which has produced 2 Truths + 1 Lie = Proof (HIVE), the award-winning Patti Fedy Trilogy and Townsville presented at Magnetic North 2008. In Vancouver, she’s directed for Vancouver Opera, Théâtrela Seizième and most recently a highly acclaimed version of The Winter’s Tale at her acting training alma mater, Studio 58. Last spring she graduated from the Directing program at the National Theatre School where she directed Cindy...a Perfect Circle by Charlotte Corbeil-Coleman, In the Solitude of Cotton Fieldsby Bernard- Marie Koltès and choreographed and directed Now he belongs to the ages (angels)which was showcased at the Theatre Centre (Toronto) last spring. She just returned from the PAZZ Festival in Germany where she presented BIOBOXES and was developing anew show with Theatre Replacement.
