Dennis A. Allen II

Dennis A. Allen II is a New York native, his play THE MUD IS THICKER IN MISSISSIPPI directed by Christopher Burris, won the 2010 Samuel French Off-Off Broadway Short Play Festival. His play A SHADOW WITH NO FORMfinalist in Variation Theatre's Harvest Festival. Recipient of the 2012 Himan Brown Creative Writing Award. Collaborative Writer for The American Slavery Project's 2012 Unheard Voices. Member of Liberation Theatre Company's 2011 & 2012 Black Playwright's Group. His play NEVER NO IN BETWEEN a part of ActNow Foundation's New Voices in Theatre 2012 Festival. Currently enrolled in Mac Wellman's MFA Playwrighting program at Brooklyn College.
